We believe that the church has a responsibility to show the love of God to the community it serves.
The Youth Theatre Workshop is just one way in which this church reaches out to the young people and their families in the community. The skills that we teach and experiences that they have will always be remembered; we offer them out of our love for God.
We hope that through our commitment and care for them and each other, they will glimpse Jesus.
So far we have been very successful in putting on one major production per year with smaller productions between.
Apart from “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, these have been secular in nature, but carrying a message linked to Christian ethics and, of course suitable for putting on in a church building.
Weekly rehearsal meetings end in prayer and we are delighted that over the past few years, the children from the youth theatre have also started to get involved with other events and services that the church host. Two of the most notable ones are ‘Remembering with Love’ our annual remembrance service for anyone who has been affected by the loss of a child \ young person, and our Christmas Service. Additionally a few of the group are also taking part in the worship group for our new contemporary worship 3rd Sunday @ 5
