Lenten Study 2021
The Way of the Cross
Lent begins on Wednesday 17th February, where we will receive a COVID safe ashing in a way which was done by the early church made from the ash of last years Palm Crosses. This serves as a symbol of our commitment to observing a Holy Lent, as we prepare to enter into the mysteries of Holy Week as we head towards Easter.
During the season of Lent, it is the normal practice of Christians to spend this time in Prayer and Study as we seek to understand our faith more deeply.
Preparations are now underway for our Lent Course for 2021.
As it is highly unlikely that groups are going to be able to meet in person for study this year, the Lent course will take place online in Zoom.
Please don’t worry if you do not have access to a computer as it is possible to use your telephone to dial into the sessions so that you can take part. (normal telephone contract call charges will apply)
The focus for this years Lent course will be The Way of the Cross and our understanding of those days leading up to Easter, and each week, we will consider a number of aspects of this week.
We can now confirm that the sessions will be on a Wednesday at 7.30 p.m and will begin on Wednesday 24th February for five weeks.
