As we continue to walk through these uneasy days, it is natural for many to turn to prayer, even if it isn’t something that may not always come naturally to us.

Each day Fr Ian is offering prayers for anyone who has asked for him to say a prayer for them.

These are offered privately and confidentially, and said from a private list he holds in his office for his times of private prayer.

If you would like prayer to be offered for you, or someone that you are concerned about, then please do contact him either by calling on the phone 375322 (please leave a message if there is no answer) or by e-mail pastoral.response@cofe-littleborough.co.uk  (this is a secure e-mail that only he has access to)  It would be helpful to know a little of the background so that the prayers can be focused, but this is entirely up to you.

You may want to say a prayer yourself, but don’t really know what to pray.  This is where The Lord’s Prayer can help as it allows us to concentrate on our conversation with God, a copy of this prayer is below:

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

Please remember that all prayer is a two way conversations between us and God, and so when you pray say what is in your heart, don’t worry about the words you use, they don’t have to be polished or exact, nor do they have to be a shopping list, and do take the time to listen back.
